119 new cases raise COVID-19 patients to 4,195:DOH

New coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases rose by triple digits for the second straight day, the Department of Health (DOH) said Friday.
Based on the latest COVID-19 case bulletin, the DOH reported 119 cases, raising the total to 4,195.
Eighteen deaths were disclosed by the DOH,bringing total deaths fo 221.
Sixteen patients recovered, placing the aggregate to 140.
Meanwhile, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned the public "currently, there are no registered drugs or vaccines that are licensed specifically for use in COVID-19 treatment or prevention.''
It said products, such as those of PRODEX B and the Fabunan Antiviral Injections, are unlicensed and unregistered with the FDA Center for Drug Regulation and Research.
"Until such products are proven safe and effective for use in the treatment of COVID-19, they cannot be dispensed to the public nor can therapeutic claims be made," it added. DMS
