144 persons die from COVID-19: DOH

One hundred and forty four persons died from coronavirus disease ( COVID-19) which brought total fatalities to 6,069, the Department of Health (DOH) reported Thursday.
Ninety six deaths occured at the National Capital Region ( NCR), but the DOH said 45 deaths happened in August and 25 in July.
DOH said 2,363 new COVID-19 cases were disclosed, bringing the total to 331, 890.
Active cases were 51, 482, of which 85.7 percent were mild, 9.8 percent asymptomatic, 3.1 percent critical and 1.4 percent severe.
A total of 697 persons rebounded from COVID-19, resulting in total recoveries of 274, 318. DMS
