17 passengers hurt in Zamboanga City vehicular accidemnt

Around 17 passengers, mostly female Catholic devotees, were injured after an overloaded vehicle lost control in Zamboanga City on Friday.
The Zamboanga Police Office said the incident happened around 9:48 pm at Cesar Climaco Freedom Park at Abong-Abong Pasonanca.
Initial investigation disclosed that the jeepney driver identified as Edgar Gomez Estioca, 47, lost control of the vehicle while travelling towards Murok Road, Pasonanca due to overloading.
It fell down in a reverse direction which resulted to the injuries of passengers, police said.
Passengers were brought to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The victims were going home after observing the Holy Week celebration.
