2 drug suspects killed in Laguna buy-bust

Two drug suspects were killed in an encounter with government authorities in Laguna early Friday.
Chief Supt. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, Police Regional Office 4-A director, identified the suspects as Raymond Angeles, allegedly a pusher operating in the area of Calamba and Los Banos, Laguna, and certain alias Anjo.
Eleazar said the encounter occurred during a buy-bust operation in Pamana Subd., Brgy. Bucal, Calamba City at around 12:35 am.
"Suspects sensed that they were transacting with police officers and immediately drew they firearms and fired upon to the operatives who acted as poseur buyer and back-up," he said.
Eleazar said the clash resulted to the death of the two suspects and the recovery of firearms and other items, including suspected shabu and a motorcycle.
The recovered firearms include two 38 caliber revolvers while the recovered shabu weighs four grams with street value of P40,000.
Eleazar said the recovered items were turned over to the Police Regional Crime Laboratory Office 4-A for proper disposition. Robina Asido/DMS
