2 Indian nationals fall in La Union buy-bust

Two Indian nationals were arrested during a buy-bust operation in La Union on July 30.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Aaron N. Aquino identified the suspects as Kulvir Nakhwal y Singh and Harpreet Singh, both Indian nationals.
At about 11:15 am, joint elements of PDEA Regional Office 1 (PDEA RO 1) under the supervision of Director Bryan Babang and Tubao Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Francia West, Tubao, La Union resulting in the arrest of the suspects.
Confiscated during the operation were one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets weighing more or less 0.015 gram of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, with an estimated value of Php102.00, two cellular phones, one Honda TMX motorcycle, cash amounting to Php9,120 and the buy-bust money.
The suspects will be charged for violation of Section 5(Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. DMS
