3 killed in alleged Sulu clan war: military

Three civilians were killed while another one was wounded in an alleged clan war in Sulu last week. Brig. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Joint Task Group Sulu commander, identified the fatalities as Al Hapid Hamidi, Hajani Immok and Mannan Hamidi. The wounded was identified as Julasan Abuhassan. Sobejana said based on initial report the victims were on board their vehicles while on their way to a wedding when they were fired by armed men at the vicinity of Sitio Jatin, Brgy Kandayok, Panamao, Sulu. He noted that based on initial investigation the attack was due to a clan war. Sobejana said military forces were deployed to support the police in its law enforcement operation in response to the incident. (Robina Asido/DMS)
