3 killed in Quezon City fire

Three people were killed and three were injured in a fire at a residential area in Quezon City on Monday.
Senior Superintendent Manuel Manuel, the Quezon City fire marshall, said the fatalities as Paulina Santos, 55, Rachelle Ann Santos, 24 and Raizel Redito, 10.
They died from severe burns after they were trapped in their respective homes in the Sarmiento Compound at Barangay Pasong Tamo.
The fire started at around 11:43 p.m. and reached second alarm, said Manuel in a text message.
The blaze started at the kitchen area on the first floor of a two-story house owned by Juanita Redito.Arson investigators are looking at an unattended cooking stove as a probable cause.
Firefighters doused the flames at around 12:50 a.m. Tuesday. DMS
