4.2 magnitude quake hits Mabini, Batangas

A 4.2 magnitude earthquake hit Mabini, Batangas on Wednesday morning.
The epicenter of the tremor was recorded at three kilometers northwest of Mabini, around 10:36 am, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The earthquake which is volcanic in origin has a recorded depth of 010 km.
There was no intensity recorded and no damage and aftershocks are expected but Phivolcs monitored several earthquakes with much higher magnitude in Mabini.
The highest recorded magnitude is 4.6 around 11:19 am.
Instrumental Intensity Three was reported in Bauan, Intensity Two in San Nicholas and Taal then Intensity One in Agoncillo and Lemery.
Instrumental intensity two was also recorded in Calatagan, Batangas. Robina Asido/DMS
