4 killed in separate encounters with QC policemen

Four persons died in two separate encounters with Quezon City policemen early Wednesday. In a report, Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar, director of the Quezon City Police District, said the four motorcycle riding in tandem suspects who perished in separate shootout with cops. Eleazar said the first encounter happened at NAWASA Line cor. Sampaguita St., Brgy. Holy Spirit when police fought it out with two suspects who stole money and belongings from Ernesto Plaza who was held up near BPI Family Bank in Holy Spirit Drive, Don Antonio. Police recovered Plaza’s belongings after the encounter. A scene of the crime operative team recovered from the crime scene one Norinco 9mm pistol without serial number, with eight live ammunition, and one caliber .38 revolver loaded with four misfired ammunition and one fired cartridge case. Recovered from the suspects were one sachet of shabu, the victim’s black sling bag containing P4,750 cash, gold necklace, cellular phone, driver’s license, ATM card and the Honda Beat Scooter, police said. The second encounter, said Eleazar, was around 3:30 a.m., another team of police operatives had an encounter with two males at San Miguel St., Brgy. Payatas A. when they were serving a warrant of arrest.  The suspects fired several shots at an unidentified male who was unharmed. The suspects pursued by the operatives who cornered them at San Miguel St, Payatas. Instead of surrendering they fired at the operatives resulting in the death of the suspects. Recovered from the suspects were one caliber 45 Remington with defaced serial number loaded with five live ammunition, one Armscor caliber .45 with serial number 311235 loaded with two live ammunition, one sachet of shabu, one back pack, two wallets and one Yamaha MIO scooter without plate number, police said.
