4Ps beneficiaries don’t need to fill SAC forms: Año

April 6, 2020

Interior Secretary Eduardo Año reminded beneficiaries of the 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program)  do not need to fill out Social Amelioration Card (SAC) forms because their cash subsidy under the Social Amelioration Program Bayanihan Fund has been credited to their account.

“There is no need for 4Ps (beneficiaries) to fill out form because they are prioritized and they can get the cash subsidies through their ATM,” Año said.

“So the news is right that you don’t need to fill up SAC forms for the reason that you will be ahead in receiving the SAP Bayanihan Fund,” he said.

Año said the government’s emergency subsidy has  been credited to the ATMs of 3.732 million family-beneficiaries of the 4Ps all over the country for a total disbursement of P16.347 billion pesos from the P200 billion allocated under the Bayanihan Act.

For 4Ps beneficiaries without cash card accounts, Año said funds have been downloaded to the DSWD regional offices to facilitate  pay-out to family beneficiaries via manual means.

He added the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is  coordinating with local government units in those areas for the scheduled release of their emergency subsidy in their localities.

“The urgent matter now is to ensure that the other low-income families qualified under the SAP will be able to fill out the form and comply with the DSWD requirements so they too can avail of the government support intended for them,” Año said.

Año said based on information from the DSWD, 4Ps beneficiaries from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) can start withdrawing from their cash cards on April 6  for the financial subsidy under the SAP Bayanihan Fund.

On April 5, 4Ps beneficiaries from Calabarzon,Mimaropa, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Soccsksargen and Caraga also received their cash aid through their Landbank ATM cash cards. 4Ps members from Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Central Visayas and Zamboanga Peninsula also got their financial subsidies last April 4.

Año said the first wave of cash subsidies were released last April 3 to 4Ps from the National Capital Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Ilocos Region, Cagyan Valley, and Central Luzon.

“This is proof of the government’s concern for the people during the time of public health emergency we are experiencing now,” said Año.  Ella Dionisio/DMS
