562 new COVID-19 cases, total now 27,799

Five hundred and sixty-two new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases were reported by the Department of Health on Thursday, bringing the total to 27,799.
A total of 481 are considered as "fresh cases", while the other 81 are identified as "late cases".
Majority of the ''fresh cases'' were in Central Visayas with 273, surpassing that of the National Capitol Region with 120.
The National Capitol Region was the main source of the ''late cases'' with 33, followed by the Central Visayas with 26.
There were nine new fatalities, raising the total to 1,116.
Two hundred and seventy persons survived COVID-19, increasing recoveries to 7,090. DMS
