7 drown in Calabarzon during Holy Week: police

Seven people drowned in the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) region during Holy Week, police said Saturday.
Five drowned in Batangas, with three dying on Good Friday, according to the Calabarzon regional police.
Kerby Sanchez was found dead at around 1:30 p.m. at Avida Swimming Pool in Barangay San Antonio, Sto. Tomas. In Nasugbu, Eljon Eragan drowned at around 9 a.m. while swimming at a beach in Barangay Calayo. His relatives brought him Jabez Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Arvin Almendral died at Taal Lake at around 6:30 p.m. in Barangay Poblacion IV, Laurel.
A three-year-old girl drowned at around 9:30 p.m. at a beach resort in Barangay Nagsaulay, San Juan.
A Filipino-Austrian identified as Ralph Patrick Gangelberger was found dead at around 6 p.m. at the shores of Barangay Olo-Olo in Lobo. The victim's girlfriend told police Gangelberger was drunk.
In Rizal province on Friday, Francis Macatol was found dead beneath the pool of a resort around 3:35 a.m. in Barangay Tayuman, Binangonan.
On Thursday Art Caballos was found dead around 12:50 p.m. on the shores of Barangay Lubayat in Real, Quezon. DMS
