753 police officers promoted to next higher rank

A total of 753 Police Commissioned Officers (PCO) and Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO) were promoted to the next higher rank Monday that coincided with the regular flag raising ceremony at  Camp Crame in Quezon City.

Philippine National Police Director General Ronald Dela Rosa approved the promotions of 745 Joint Task Group PNP contingent for their exemplary involvement in the liberation of Marawi City from the hands of ISIS-Inspired Maute Terror Group in October 2017.

Among police officers who were granted special promotions were eight personnel of Binuangan Municipal Police Station in Misamis Oriental.

“Eight  police officers from Binuangan MPS displayed conspicuous courage and gallantry in action and outstanding accomplishment involving risk of life, above and beyond the call of duty for successfully defending their station during the attack perpetrated by more or less two hundred (200) members of New People’s Army (NPA) on December 3, 2017,” the PNP Directorate for Personnel and Records Management (DPRM) said.

Dela Rosa administered the oath of office to the newly promoted JTG PNP personnel assigned to different offices and units. Philippine Army Commanding General, Lt. General Rolando Joselito Bautista was the guest of honor and speaker.

Police Director Rene Aspera, the DPRM noted that large part of special promotees was from the Special Action Force which poised to 437, while Police Regional Office 10 (PRO 10) has 164 special promotees.   DMS
