9 drug suspects fought back, killed in Visayas, Mindanao: Dela Rosa

Nine drug suspects were reported to have been killed as they fought back against police in buy-bust operations in Visayas and Mindanao. In an interview with dzMM Thursday night, Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Ronald Dela Rosa said the deaths occured in eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula and Soccsksargen. "I can't recall the other areas but most of the suspects died in those areas because they fought back," said Dela Rosa. He said one policeman was shot in the elbow on Wednesday in Cebu but his condition is not critical. DMS
