Agcaoili, NDF chief negotiator, passes away
July 24, 2020
Fidel Agcaoili, chairperson of the National Democratic Front (NDF), passed away at Utrecht, the Netherlands Thursday, the NDF's International Information Office said.
Agcaoili, who would have been 76 on August 8, died due to ''pulmonary arterial rupture which caused massive internal bleeding,'' the NDF said, citing a physician.
Agcaoili's remains will be flown to the Philippines in accordance with the wishes of the family, it said.
Peace talks between the Philippine government and the NDF, political wing of the Communist Party of the Philippines, were cancelled in 2017. DMS
