Singer Aiza Seguerra quits as youth commissioner

Singer Aiza Seguerra has resigned as National Youth Commission chairperson, Malacanang said on Tuesday
In a press briefing, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the Office of the Executive Secretary has received Seguerra's resignation letter.
Roque said he was not yet sure if President Rodrigo Duterte has accepted Seguerra's resignation.
Reports said Seguerra has tendered her resignation on March 5 but would only be effective on April 5.
Roque could not say the reason why Seguerra, one of President Rodrigo Duterte's strong supporters when he was running for the presidency in 2016, quit.
Seguerra's partner, Liza Dino, is currently chairperson of the Film Development Council of the Philippines. Dino's father, Martin, is an undersecretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government. Celerina Monte/DMS
