Albayalde assures four police officers in Duterte’s drug list of fair treatment

Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Oscar Albayalde assured four police officers implicated in President Rodrigo Duterte's matrix on illegal drugs operations of fair treatment.
“We have to follow due process. If we see probable cause, they will face summary hearing procedure,” he told reporters in an ambush interview Friday in Baguio City where the Cordillera Administrative Region the 117th police service anniversary.
Senior Superintendent Leonardo Suan, Senior Inspector Lito Pirote, Inspector Conrado Caragdag Jr. and Senior Police Officer 4 Alejandro Liwanag were reassigned to the Police Holding Administrative Unit (PHAU).
Suan, a member of the Philippine National Police Academy Class '88, denied he became rich in the drug trade and is willing to prove his innocence.
“I haven't participated in any illegal activity,” he said in a phone interview.
If the evidence against the four is strong, Albayalde said the PNP has to dismiss them from the service. DMS
