Albayalde tells ACT Partylist to stop brainwashing students
August 16, 2019
Police General Oscar Albayalde on Thursday told ACT (Alliance of Concerned Teachers) Partylist to stop brainwashing students and start acting like teachers.
This was the answer of Albayalde on the latest statement of ACT Partylist Rep. France Castro telling law enforcement agencies to stop “witch hunting” teachers of missing students.
“Is that what they call witch hunting? How can it be witch hunting? They were identified. What they should stop probably is brainwashing our students,” he told reporters in Manila.
“You are a teacher, you act like a teacher. You teach the student the right things to do so they can be valuable student and really become the future of our country,” he added.
Albayalde urged them to stop poisoning minds of students to join rallies.
“As a responsible teacher, you should not poison (the mind) of the students. Remember, as I said, the school is their second home. The teachers are our second parents,” said Albayalde.
He said teachers are being paid through tuition fees from parents and mentors should teach students good manners and right conduct.
“So that they can have a successful career and not the career of being armed and fighting in the mountains,” he said.
“What kind of teachers are you if you are teaching them to rally or be armed and fight the government?” Albayalde added. Ella Dionisio/DMS
