Alleged drug personality killed in Maguindanao: military

An alleged drug personality was killed in a law enforcement operation in Maguindanao on Thursday.
Capt. Arvin Encinas, 6th Infantry Division Public Affairs Office chief, said the joint elements of 90th Infantry Battalion and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-ARMM) with Talitay municipal police station encountered suspected drug personalities in the vicinity of Barangay Kiladap, Talitay around 5:30 am.
He said government forces were serving search warrant when they encountered the suspect which resulted in the death of a certain Maguid Sinduan, one of the drug suspects.
Encinas said Siduan was wounded but later declared dead by a doctor in the hospital where he was rushed.
“The suspect is a former barangay kagawad of barangay Kiladap of the municipality and allegedly involved in the drug trade in the areas of Maguindanao,” he said.
Encinas said government forces also recovered firearms and other materials including suspected illegal drugs from the suspect.
“Government troops recovered one caliber 45 pistol, one 9mm pistol, assorted ammunition and magazines, repacking paraphernalia, notebook of drug sale transactions and 200 grams suspected white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride known as shabu,” he said.
