Alleged militant killed in South Cotabato buy bust

An alleged member of the Dawlah-Islamiya-Hassan Group was shot dead by cops during a buy bust operation in Polomolok, South Cotabato last Monday.
In a report from the Soccsksargen regional police, operatives conducted an entrapment operation around 1:05 pm at Barangay Sulit, Polomolok which resulted in the death of a certain Joven Cabalo after he pulled out his handgun upon sensing that he was transacting with a police poseur buyer.
Police retaliated and shot Cabalo. He was brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival by a physician.
Investigation revealed that Cabalo was a member of Dawlah Islamiyah-Hassan Group (Nilong Sub-Group) who was tasked to monitor the activities and location of the patrol vehicles in the areas of Polomolok, South Cotabato.
Recovered from the crime scene were two pistols, cartridges, ammunition and 10 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu.
