Alleged NPA killed in Camarines Sur

Government troops killed an alleged member of the New People's Army (NPA) and recovered high- powered firearms in a clash in Camarines Sur on Saturday morning.
Capt. John Paul Belleza, spokesman of the 9th Infantry Division spokesman, said the joint elements of 83rd Infantry Battalion (83IB) and the Philippine National Police were conducting security operations in response to the reported presence of the rebels when they encountered around 15 reported NPAs in Barangay Olas, Lagonoy town around 8:20am.
Belleza said recovered were two M16 rifles, one M653 rifle,one AK47 and propaganda materials.
