Alleged NPA killed in encounter with troops in Davao de Oro

An alleged member of the New People's Army (NPA)) was killed while two high-powered firearms were recovered by government troops following a 15-minute clash in Davao de Oro on Tuesday.
2nd Lt. Kim Carlos, civil-military operations officer of the 71st Infantry Battalion, said the police and army were conducting active defense patrol in relation to the implementation of enhanced community quarantine when they were fired upon by reported members of Guerrilla Front 2, Sub-Regional Command 2, and Southern Mindanao Regional Party Committee around 6:50 am.
Recovered were one M4 rifle, "one AK-47 with three magazines loaded with 77 rounds of ammo, 72 rounds of garand rifle ammo, one air gun rifle, one upper air gun rifle, three backpacks with personal belongings, subversive documents with high intelligence value, one cellphone with several SIM cards, medical supplies and paraphernalia."
