Alleged NPA member, 75, surrenders in Sarangani

An alleged 75-year-old New People's Army member in Sarangani Province surrendered to the troops of 73rd IB on Friday, the military said on Saturday.
Boy Cabisa Diale married and a resident of Sitio Lino, Barangay Upper Suyan, Malapatan, Sarangani Province, carried his M16 (Bushmaster) rifle when he gave up
“ I left the armed group because of their false promises and fear of being caught in the firefight during encounter, and I am tired of hiding from the government troops," he said.
Last May 18, 2018 an armed cache was discovered in Barangay Upper Suyan, Malapatan, Sarangani Province and recovered were three AK47 rifles, after the information receive from the NPAs who surrenderred to the troops of 73IB.
The former rebel will be presented to Sarangani Province for immediate assistance and to enroll him to the CLIP (Comprehensive Local Integration Program). He will be provided livelihood assistance and will also receive additional cash assistance for his surrendered firearm that will help him to start a new life. DMS
