April 14, 2020
Just like Education Secretary Leonor Briones, Interior Secretary Eduardo Año on Monday said he is tested negative for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
"My latest COVID-19 test conducted last April 8 was negative result," Año said in a message to reporters.
Año said he got the result from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).
Last March 31, he said he tested positive for the virus. He said he was fine and not experiencing any symptoms.
Año underwent self-quarantine after meeting with some government officials who tested positive for COVID-19.
In a message to The Daily Manila Shimbun, Año said he will continue his quarantine for another week.
“I have to continue my quarantine for another week and take another test as part of the protocol,” he said.
Earlier, Briones said she is tested negative for COVID-19 on her third test, citing a message from Health Secretary Francisco Duque III. Ella Dionisio/DMS
