February 21, 2019
Police recovered a brick of cocaine in Quezon province Thursday afternoon.
Senior Superintendent Osmundo de Guzman, Quezon province police director, said the block of cocaine, weighing one kilo, was turned over to the police by a 15-year-old boy around 3:30 p.m.
The boy told police he found the brick at the shores of Barangay Cagsiay II in Mauban around 12 noon.
"Out of curiousity, he suspected it as a poisonous substance so he hid it and later told his brother," De Guzman said in a text message.
His brother informed the authorities. The substance was brought to the Quezon provincial police for examination. DMS
