Anti-terror bill not targetting specific group, person: AFP

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) emphasized that the new anti-terrorism bill is not targeting specific group or individual.
"The proposed law is not targeting any specific organization, group, or individual," AFP Chief of Staff General Felimon Santos said.
However, Santos noted that any group or individual who will commit terrorist acts will be punished.
"If any of them commits an act or acts which are included in the definition of terrorism, then they will be prosecuted and penalized under the proposed law," he said.
The controversial bill was signed by the leaders of both Houses of Congress was transmitted on Tuesday to President Rodrigo Duterte for his signature. Robina Asido/DMS
