Armed men shot police officer who allegedly robbed Isabela gas station

BAGUIO CITY –Gunmen on Sunday shot dead a police officer who allegedly robbed a gasoline station in Reina Mercedes, Isabela two weeks ago.
Police Lieutenant Oliver Tolentino, who is out on bail, was gunned down in his sister’s yard in Cauayan City, Isabela at 12:45 pm.
Tolentino was rushed at the Dr. Ester Garcia Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival by a doctor.
Brig. Gen. Angelito Casimiro, Cagayan Valley regional director, said Tolentino posted bail of P200,000 after robbing MCE gasoline station in Purok 1, barangay Dangan, in Reina Mercedes town on March 29 with two others.
Tolentino surrendered to the Cauayan City police hours after evading arrest at a checkpoint and ramming through roadblocks. DMS
