Army chief Gapay leads virtual command conference

Philippine Army chief Lt. Gen. Gilbert Gapay led an Army-wide virtual command conference on Wednesday.

Col. Ramon Zagala, Philippine Army spokesman, said video teleconferencing held between commanders of the Functional Commands, Ground Operating Units, Specialty Enablers, Army-wide Service Support, Service Units, and Headquarters Philippine Army (HPA) Chief of Offices.

Zagala said the participants discussed the accomplishments of the Philippine Army for the past six months and its support in attaining the goals of the campaign were also presented.

"The participating personnel also discussed pertinent Headquarters Philippine Army programs and interventions in the lines of effort to support the campaign of the Philippine Army Major Units (PAMU), and the attainment of PAMU’s target and objectives of the fragmentary order  by the end of this year," he said.

"The Army governance pathway status was also awarded to three brigades and one HPA office," he added.

Zagala said Gapay delivered his guidance to the Army troops.

“As one Team Army, let us continue sustaining our gains in our internal security operation campaigns," Gapay said. Robina Asido/DMS
