An Army soldier and two others were arrested after allegedly mauling a man in a restaurant in Quezon City on Saturday.
A report from the Masambong Police Station 2 said the suspects were Britzler Ballesteros, 28 of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Meliquiades Jose, 31, and Jerusalem Marinas, 29.
The trio and eight men reportedly mauled call center agent Hubert Laguidao, 22 inside Kowloon House in Barangay West Triangle around 7 a.m.
Initial investigation showed Laguidao was drinking with a 20-year-old female companion when he claimed one of the suspects hugged her. Laguidao confronted him but another man pushed him inside the female restroom while others took turns in punching him.
Police arrived and broke them up. Ballesteros and two others were arrested while the others escaped. DMS
