August 29, 2017
At least three people died and five injured as a man went amuck at a condominium in Pasay City Tuesday evening, police said.
Senior Superintendent Tomas Apolinario, director of the Southern Police District, told dzBB the suspect apparently got into an argument with his girlfriend and stabbed her. The suspect, who Apolinario said was armed with a kitchen knife, stabbed any people he met at the 17th floor of the condominium.
"He went amuck," said Apolinario. Apolinario said two fatalities were female while the other was a male. The incident happened at 6:30 pm, the Pasay City police office said.
Some tenants of the Central Park Condominium were Indian nationals but they appear not to be among the injured, added Apolinario.
National Capitol Region Police Director Oscar Albayalde, in a separate radio interview, said police are trying to find the suspect. He said the suspect's name is Robert Baran.
Albayalde said police were able to escort tenants out of the condominium and brought the injured persons to the hospital.
"We don't know how many people were injured but so far we have three dead," said Albayalde. DMS
