Authorities seize P2.5 billion worth of illegal drugs

Authorities confiscated a total of P2.5 billion worth of illegal drugs in separate buy-bust operations in Makati City and General Trias, Cavite last Thursday.
Operatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) conducted a buy-bust operation in a subdivision at Barangay Navarro, General Trias around 8:30 pm which resulted in the arrest of an alleged drug suspect.
Confiscated from the suspect were 374 packs of suspected shabu weighing around 374 kilograms with an estimated value of P2, 543,200,000.
In a separate operation, PDEA confiscated P6.8 million worth of shabu from a construction worker in East Rembo, Makati City around 4pm.
