Barangay captain in Cavite shot dead

A barangay captain in a town in Cavite was shot dead Tuesday night at a covered court, police said Wednesday.

Naldie Secretario, captain of Barangay Yakal in Silang was shot several times by two gunmen while he was supervising an activity, police said.

The gunmen fled on a motorcycle while Secretario was rushed to Asia Medic Hospital but pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor. Three individuals sustained minor injuries due to stray bullets from the shooting. DMS
