Public Works Secretary Mark Villar on Tuesday said they are preparing protocols to be submitted to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) once the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) is lifted in Metro Manila.
In a virtual briefing, Villar said they have identified big ticket projects which are the priorities to help jumpstart the economy.
“We are now preparing protocols that we have to do in the site to assure the safety of our workers and we will submit it to IATF for approval,” he said.
“And once the ECQ is lifted, we can start our projects,” he added.
Asked about the funds that will be collected on “Build, Build, Build” projects if the need arises, Villar said they are identifying the projects that are not priorities for now.
“If there is a need for funding, we will look on where we will get it and it is for submission to DBM (Department of Budget and Management),” he said.
“We are now checking the projects which are not priority for now, I will update once we identify it,” he added. Ella Dionisio/DMS
