A bomb hoax caused tension among employees of a BPO (business process outscouring) firm in Ortigas, Pasig City on Thursday morning.
The Eastern Police District (EPD) said in a report an employee received a text message from an unknown number around 1:15 am saying a home-made bomb was placed in a locker and will explode before 3 am.
"Here want to inform you that there is a home-made bomb sa locker near operation area planted! Anytime before 3 am, a lot (of people) will be affected because you fight against a California gangster who wants to take revenge," the message said.
Upon receipt of the text message, the employee informed their management office at Capital Commons, Pasig City.
The management sought police assistance from the Pasig City Police who conducted clearing operations in the fourth and fifth floor office of GC Services.
They also conducted clearing operations at the Capitol Commons office.
No home-made bomb was found in these places and police declared cleared it safe between 3:10 am to 3:45 am. Ella Dionisio/DMS
