BuCor officer found dead in New Bilibid Prison

A Bureau of Correction (BuCor) officer was found dead inside the Medium Security Compound of the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City on Thursday morning.
The Southern Police District said a supervisor was conducting a routine inspection of all post towers of the compound and upon arrival at the Post Tower 4 around 5am, he saw the bloody body of the duty sentinel seated in the folding bed.
The victim was identified as Correction Officer 1 Edmond Molina.
The supervisor informed BuCor office to request for police assistance.
Initial investigation said Molina sustained a gunshot wound on the right side of his head. It was noted that Molina was holding his firearm on his right hand in between his legs when his body was found.
