Cagayan councilor shot dead, military claims NPA’s work

Councilor Ronel Millare was shot dead by unidentified individuals riding on motorcycles in his welding shop in Brgy Labben, Allacapan, Cagayan province at 5:30 pm Thursday.
The New People's Army (NPA) said they were behind the incident, according to a press statement quoted by the Northern Luzon Command ( Nolcom) Friday.
Millare was a retired police officer.
The NPA claimed Millare was working with the intelligence units of the government.
In a statement, Nolcom, with the leadership of the province of Cagayan headed by Governor Manuel Mamba, said they strongly condemn this act. DMS
