The Caloocan City Regional Trial Court issued an arrest warrant on Tuesday against two policemen charged for their alleged involvement in the killing of Carl Angelo Arnaiz and his companion, 14-year old Reynaldo de Guzman in August last year.
In a single page order copy given to the Department of Justice, Caloocan City RTC Judge Georgina Hidalgo directed law enforcers to arrest PO1s Ricky Arquilita and Jeffrey Perez.
"You are hereby commanded to arrest the following persons who have been charged with the offense of Murder under Art. 248 of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 5a of RA No. 8369 (Family Courts Article of 1997) and bring them before this court to be dealt with accordingly," stated the order dated January 23.
The court recommended no bail for the two policemen.
The two police officers are also facing three counts each for planting evidence for the recovered sachets of marijuana and shabu on Arnaiz’s pocket as well as a .38 caliber revolver near his body.
They are also charged with two counts each for violation of the Anti-Torture Law after forensic examination showed Arnaiz and De Guzman sustained blunt injuries in their bodies. DMS
