CIDG nabs Chinese for allegedly illegal selling of Chinese medicine

Operatives from Philippine National Police- Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) arrested a Chinese for being allegedly involved in illegal selling of unlicensed Chinese medicine last Wednesday.
In a report, CIDG said Yan Wang was arrested in an entrapment operation with some members from Food and Drug Administration (FDA) around 6:30 pm in an unnamed medical clinic and store located on the ground floor of a building in Paranaque City.
Wang was allegedly engaged in illegal selling or distribution of Chinese brand medicines and medical supplies and devices without license to operate.
Confiscated from the suspect were assorted medicines, medical supplies, and devices, all with Chinese markings.
Yang is under police custody and will face charges for violation of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Act of 2009. Ella Dionisio/DMS
