October 4, 2017
Immigration authorities at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Wednesday said Marilou Danley, the girlfriend of Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock, left Manila on Tuesday night for Los Angeles.
Red Marinas, Bureau of Immigration (BI) Port Operations Division chief, said Danley, 62, boarded Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight PR102 at 9 pm,
Marinas said Danley’s travel record showed she arrived in the Philippines on September 15 from Japan, and flown to Hong Kong on September 22 and then returned to the Philippines on September 25.
He said their role is “to help the US government to monitor the movement (of Danley) at the airport, and to give them information about a person who arrived from their homeland and left for United States.”
Marinas said that the BI informed the US Homeland Security the 62-year-old Filipino-Australian left.
“I think the US Homeland Security is already waiting for her arrival in Los Angeles Airport,” the BI official said.
On Tuesday, immigration authorities could not say if Danley is in the Philippines.
According to US news reports, Danley was in the Philippines at the time of the shooting.
NBC News reported that Paddock had sent $100,000 to the Philippines the week before the shooting, but the National Bureau of Investigation said they could not confirm this. DMS
