Cop arrested for alleged gun toting in Paranaque

A policeman was arrested for alleged gun toting in Parañaque City on Tuesday morning.
Chief Supt. Tomas Apolinario Jr., Southern Police District director, said the arrested policeman is PO2 Gadie Guarino, 40, assigned at the Calabarzon region, and resident of Purok 4 14 St. Silverio Compound, Brgy San Isidro, Parañaque City.
He said Guarino was arrested at the vicinity of Purok 4 Silverio Compound, Brgy San Isidro, Parañaque City around 8 am.
Apolinario said the arrest was made by the Paranaque City police station with a barangay tanod in response to a gun toting and physical injuries complaint against him.
Authorities confiscated one 9mm Jericho PNP issued firearms with holster, two magazines with 19 live ammo.
Apolinario said Guarino has a warrant of arrest for murder issued by Executive Judge Eduardo Israel Tanguanco of Regional Trial Court Branch 89, Bacoor, Cavite with no bail recommended.
"Charges are being prepared against the suspect for grave threat, alleged gun toting and physical injury," he said.
He said the arrested policeman is detained at the Paranaque detention cell while waiting for his commitment order from Cavite court. Robina Asido/DMS
