Cop critically wounded in Kidapawan shooting

A member of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team of Kidapawan City Police was in critical condition after he was shot while responding to an incident last Saturday.
Initial report from Kidapawan City Police said a shooting incident transpired around 10:25 pm in the vicinity of Quezon Boulevard.
The victim, identified as Police Officer 3 Eric John Yamuta was monitoring in the area and saw suspect Ray Dimaano shot another victim named Alvin Taran.
Yamuta responded and fired at Dimaano and other two suspects identified as certain David Adolfo and Mario Pagaduan dela Cruz. However, he ran out of bullets and Dela Cruz got a chance to shoot the officer.
Yamuta was hit in the head, while the wounded suspects on board a motorcycle fled going to Barangay Sudapin.
The policeman was brought to Kidapawan Doctor Hospital, Inc.
Authorities were able to arrest the suspects and they were brought to different hospitals also after sustaining gunshot wounds from Yamuta.
Recovered from the scene were six cartridges and two bullets.
