Cop missing in boat mishap off Antique

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has continued with the search and rescue operation for the missing police personnel onboard a speedboat that capsized off Caluya, Antique last May 8.
According to PCG, Police Corporal John Mark Alejandro was one of the three policemen and two PCG personnel onboard a speed boat to provide security for the distribution of cash assistance under the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) in Sibolo Island and Sitio Liwagao, Brgy. Sibato Island around 8:30 am on Friday.
“Enroute to said target locations, the speedboat encountered big waves, causing it to capsize,” it said.
Caluya Police Station said around 10:20 am on the same day, two police and two coast guard personnel were rescued and treated in a rural hospital. Ella Dionisio/DMS
