June 14, 2018
A policeman was shot dead at the parking space of the National Police Commission (Napolcom) building in Jupiter Street, Makati Thursday.
PO2 Teejay Valdez, who is assigned in Marikina, came from a hearing at the Napolcom and was about to board his vehicle when a gunman who wore a black jacket and black hat approached Valdez from behind and shot him three times.
"As a result, the victim sustained gunshot wounds in his head that caused his instantaneous death," the police report said.
Valdez was attending a hearing on an administrative case filed against him two years ago for three counts of grave misconduct during a shooting incident with his police companion when he was still at the Eastwood Police Station.
Police are consolidating all CCTV footage, witnesses, and evidences to identify the suspect. DMS
