Cop who had recovered from COVID-19 dies

A cop died due to coronavirus disease (COVID-19) despite having previously recovered from it, bringing total deaths to nine, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).
The cop was reassigned from the national headquarters to Police Regional Office 6, which is Western Visayas.
“(He) was readmitted after the result of the swab test conducted by Police Regional Office 6 as part of their standard protocol came out positive,” it said.
Based on their data, the number of policemen infected by COVID-19 is at 507 with 287 recoveries.
Also recorded were 652 Probable Persons Under Investigation (Probable PUIs) and 868 police personnel considered as Suspected Persons Under Investigation (Suspected PUIs). Ella Dionisio/DMS
