Cop with COVID-19 dies of kidney failure

Another police officer who was positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) died due to kidney failure, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday.
According to Philippine National Police Health Service, the total number of fatalities rose to four after a 48-year-old cop from Parañaque died last April 13.
Also, two cops were tested positive for COVID-19, a 32-year-old and 29-year-old both assigned in Metro Manila.
This brings the total number of cops with positive COVID-19 cases to 114.
A total of 369 PNP personnel were categorized as Probable Persons Under Investigation (Probable PUIs) while a total 375 personnel were recommended as Suspected Persons Under Investigation (Suspected PUIs).
The PNP Health Service said a total of 1,217 personnel which includes 523 Probable PUIs, 692 Suspected PUIs and two confirmed have completed their self and home quarantine.
The Kiangan Billeting Center, PNP’s COVID patient care center has admitted 37 PNP personnel listed as PUIs and who undergo self-quarantine.
The Spring Hotel admitted a total of 38 personnel while the taekwondo quarters in Camp Crame has six and the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Quaranting Facility eight civilians. Ella Dionisio/DMS
