Crop damage from ”Rolly” top P5 billion: NDRRMC

Damage to agriculture because of Super Typhoon ''Rolly'' surpassed five billion pesos, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Wednesday.
In its latest report P5,008,430,180 worth of damage to crops, livestock, fisheries, agricultural facilities were recorded in llocos, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Eastern Visayas, Cordillera Administrative Region and NCR.
"A total of 65,897 hectares of agricultural land are affected," it said.
Damage to infrastructure in the affected regions reached P12,867,014,693.78.
Deaths from the super typhoon remain at 25 with 399 people injured and six still missing.
There are 522,600 families or 2,030,130 persons, of which 20,398 families or 82,980 persons are served inside and outside evacuation centers. Robina Asido/DMS
