Damage to agriculture, infra surpasses P11 billion: NDRRMC

Damage to agriculture and infrastructure because of Typhoon Rolly reached to more than P11 billion, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Thursday.
As of Wednesday morning, the NDDRMC reported a total of P2,936,171,400 damage to agriculture in Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol and Eastern Visayas regions.
A total of 43,712 hectares of agricultural land was affected by ''Rolly''.
The damage to infrastructure in Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Eastern Visayas, and NCR also increase significantly to P8,473,811,685.78.
The number of damaged houses in Bicol, Mimaropa and CAR reached 44,033, of which 14,064 were totally destroyed.
Aside from the province of Catanduanes, Camarines Sur were also placed under state of calamity.
Network interruption is still being experienced within 68 cities and municipalities in Bicol, Calabarzon and Mimaropa regions.
Water lack continues within the 85 cities and municipalities in Bicol and Mimaropa regions and a total of 151 cities and municipalities in Bicol, Eastern Visayas, Calalabarzon and Mimaropa region are experiencing power outage.
There are 230,834 families or 906,146 persons affected by ''Rolly'', of which 61,912 families or 228,559 individuals are being served inside and out of evacuation centers. Robina Asido/DMS
