Davao del Norte journalist shot dead inside car

A journalist was shot dead by a gunman while he was in his car in Davao del Norte, a regional police spokesperson said Thursday.
Dennis Denora, 67, publisher of Trends and Time Newspaper and a native of Panabo City, was in the front seat of his Hyundai Electra when a gunman shot him several times in the head.
Denora's driver, Mayonito Rivera, sustained two gun shots in his right hand, according to a report by Chief Inspector Milgrace Driz, spokesperson of the Davao region police. The gunman fled on foot to an unknown direction, added Driz.
Denora was also a reporter of Sun Star, according to the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines.
Recovered from the crime scene were three bullets, one cartridge case of a .45 caliber pistol.
Denora's body is at the Villa Funeral Parlor in Barangay Salvacion, Panabo City while Revira is recuperating at a medical facility. DMS
