Death of man not linked to previous job: PNP

Police Major General Guillermo Eleazar, director of the National Capitol Region,  said the death of a form,er newspaper advertising man in Quezon City last Thursday is not related to his previous job.


"Initially I have coordinated with QCPD ( Quezon City Police District) Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit, his case is not connected to media. This is a separate case and we will follow-up who is responsible on his death,” Eleazar said in a radio interview on Sunday.


“All angles will be looked at according to the order of our chief PNP (Oscar Albayalde),” he added.


A police report identified the victim as Adam Moraleta, 56. He was an account executive of People's Television Network at the time of his death.

Undersecretary Joel Sy Egco, who had given instruction to the Quezon City Police District to solve Moraleta's killing, said Moraleta had worked in the advertising departments of the Manila Standard and the Tribune.

Initial investigation said around 7:25 am, two unidentified suspects shot the victim in front of his house in Marcelino St. Brgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City.


The security guard heard the gunshot and immediately went to the scene where he found Moraleta lying on the ground.


Authorities are still investigating the identity and motive of the suspects.  Ella Dionisio/DMS
