Dela Rosa says businessman gave P1 million to each cop killed in Marawi fighting

Philippine National Police Director General Ronald Dela Rosa said Monday a businessman gave P1 million to each police officer killed in the fight against the Maute terrorist group in Marawi City "There is one businessman, through the One Philippines foundation, (who) gave P1 million to our police that was killed in Marawi", Dela Rosa said in a press conference in Camp Crame. He said three policemen from first salvo who died during the first day of the fighting against the Maute terrorist group on May 23 received the money. "They were given first because…our Special Action Force troops (who) died there was not yet included because there are still documents needed", he said. He did not say how many policemen have been in more than two months of fighting in Marawi. Dela Rosa did not name the businessman.
